South West Child Protection Procedures
The South West Child Protection Procedures aims to support safeguarding practice and provide a consistent approach to safeguarding children and young people.
It should be used regularly by practitioners, especially those who need clarification about policies and procedures or who are unsure about how to respond to a safeguarding issue they encounter during their work.
It contains both shared procedures as well as more specific local guidance for each of the 12 local safeguarding children’s boards that were involved in its development, include the SVPP. All the information is based on current legislation and up to date national policy relating to safeguarding children, and is updated regularly.
